DUB, founded in January 2000, is a North American magazine covering urban custom car culture and also features celebrities and their vehicles.
The magazine also launched the DUB Magazine Custom Auto Show & Concert, a nationwide car show and concert tour that spans 16 United States cities. DUB now has many licensed goods that include Jada Toys’ DUB City die-cast and radio controlled vehicles, DUB Edition car accessories, and Rockstar Games’ Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition video game.
CHOOSING TO GROW
When the zine launched the DUB Magazine Custom Auto Show & Concert they realized they would need increased traction to promote–and increase awareness–of DUB’s car show & live music event that tours 16 U.S. cities.
They turned to House of Designers to handle promotion on social media platforms. In addition to creating Video and event promotion image posts for DUB, we took care of the magazines daily online posting to Instagram and Facebook. Our formula works. We reached the target demographic. We introduced DUB to an event marketing Strategy that they continue to use today.
