Red Wolf
Illustration • Script Writing • Video Animation
The multi-talented rapper/singer and actor Jamie Luis Gomez, who most of us know as Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas came to House of Designers wanting to create a comic book based on the character “Red Wolf”, a Native American hero that he is collaborating with Marvel live-action films on. Right away our team could tell that this was not just about putting a story out, or a costume on, but more so about representing his heritage and his beloved grandmother who was a Shoshone Indian. We brainstormed with Taboo and our scriptwriter to understand the story behind Red Wolf, so we could better illustrate the scenes and get the animation video rolling.

After having a one on one with Taboo, we made his idea of Red Wolf come to life by sketching out different models of comic characters the way Taboo had envisioned him. Afterwards, we used appropriate colors and took it to the digital side where the real illustration of Red Wolf started.

Video Animation
House of Designers took the storytelling to a new level, sharing Taboo’s message that compels, persuades and convinces the audience to take action. Taboo cares deeply about his Native American heritage and the and injustice treatment of Native Americans. Our team had the pleasure of helping Taboo’s character Red Wolf come to light.
